Lillian Cooke is a current graduate student at the University of Toronto pursuing a Masters of Education in Counselling and Psychotherapy. She is dedicated to meeting people where they are at on their journey and discovering a sense of healing, purpose, and growth that feels authentic to the individual. Lillian deeply values safety, inclusivity, and collaboration and she actively works to foster these qualities within the therapeutic relationship to provide the necessary conditions for individuals to foster resilience and hope.
Lillian has experience supporting adults through life transitions, relationship issues, academic stressors, anxiety, depression, loneliness, low self-worth, and chronic pain. She has adopted a client-centered and strengths-based approach throughout her years of community mental health work and is passionate about providing LGBTQ2IA+ affirming care. She utilizes an integrative approach, drawing from a variety of therapeutic theories and techniques such as psychodynamic, emotion-focused, and narrative therapy, to best support the individual in a way that is most meaningful, affirming, and helpful.
Lillian is warm, calm, and inviting. She will produce a safe and supportive space for individuals to feel heard and accepted. Lillian works collaboratively with her clients to process hardship and find self-understanding, healing, and meaningful change.
