Jennifer Watts is a Master of Psychology student at Adler Graduate Professional School. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Queen’s University and has extensive training in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and play-based therapeutic techniques for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Jennifer has worked primarily in the non-profit sector, supervising an ABA program in the Central East Region.

Jennifer has over 20 years of experience working with children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism, assessing and implementing strategies for a variety of individuals across the spectrum. Jennifer has a special interest in research, has participated in several published research studies and has also presented her own research at professional conferences. She received the inaugural Jim Reaume Award for Research, Education and Treatment and her thesis focuses on parent experiences with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP).

Jennifer uses a family-centred and strength-based approach to treatment using client motivation and interests to facilitate behaviour change. Jennifer has been trained in several different approaches to treatment, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is committed to helping clients in their journey to reach their full potential. Jennifer is committed to ensuring every family feels supported and heard.
