Irene Iskenderova
MACP, RP Student
Master’s Student in Counselling Psychology
Irene Iskenderova is a graduate student dedicated to guiding individuals in their journey towards healing and personal growth. She is currently completing her Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Adler University and before this, she earned her Honors Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University. With a strong belief in each person’s inherent capacity for growth and resilience, she is committed to unlocking and nurturing this potential in every individual she works with.
Under the supervision of an experienced Psychologist, Irene utilizes a holistic and client-centered approach to provide treatment and assessment services to adolescents and adults facing a wide range of mental health challenges including trauma, mood, anxiety, personality, and eating disorders, as well as relationship issues and more. She is particularly interested in working with children and families to help them navigate emotional challenges and strengthen family bonds, fostering the conditions for supportive and connected relationships.
Given her own lived experiences and personal encounters with mental health stigma, Irene is driven by a passion to reshape the narrative and trajectory of individuals’ paths to wellness. By empowering them through a process of self-discovery, helping them transform negative thought patterns and behaviors, and fostering healthier relationships with others, she equips clients with the confidence and tools they need to have a positive relationship with themselves and navigate challenges with resilience and conviction.
Her commitment to diversity and inclusion drives her to create a supportive and understanding environment that honors the unique cultural, social, and personal contexts of each individual. This tailored approach ensures that clients’ personalized goals are not only achieved, but that they feel heard, valued, and respected in every session.
