Wendy Felix

Wendy Felix is a Registered Social Worker/Psychotherapist and the acting Director, Clinical Services and Operations of PCSG. She completed her Master of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University and holds an Honors Bachelor Degree in Child and Youth Care from Toronto Metropolitan University. She also graduated from Centennial College with an Advanced Diploma in Child and Youth Work.
Wendy has over 20 years of experience providing counselling and coaching, more recently psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and their families, particularly working with parents. Wendy uses a relational approach to therapy that is person/child centered, trauma informed, and eclectic. Her practice is anti-oppressive and she views clients as holding valuable knowledge about what they need. Her experience includes work with children and families who have experienced family conflict, separation, loss, addiction, and trauma. She has supported children and adolescents with a wide range of difficulties including emotion regulation, interpersonal conflicts, behavioral challenges, self-harming, distress tolerance, and mood issues. Wendy has worked with families to assist in repairing communication and relationship dynamics.
Wendy has training in Trauma Focused – Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Emotion – Focused Family Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Collaborative Problem Solving. Wendy also completed a clinical practicum providing child and clinician led therapy facilitated through play to children and youth, a medium that she continues to practice. As the Director, Clinical Services and Operations, Wendy provides leadership, in collaboration with Ken, to the clinical, operations, and administrative teams.
